Position Overview

The ideal Staff Supervisor (Security Lead) should be able to hold others accountable, work well with a diverse group of corporate managers, supervisors, and employees, and be excited to join a growing team.
Essential Duties/Tasks
Leadership & Team Management
- Oversee a team of Customer Service & Security Specialists and Supervisors to provide 24/7 corporate security coverage.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; scheduling, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Train, coach, and mentor a team, providing verbal and written feedback and performance evaluations.
- Conduct interviews with job candidates for both employment and promotion opportunities.
Operations & Response
- Communicate emergency and non-emergency information through radio dispatch, phone, and email.
- Respond to safety and security events, issues, staffing deficiencies, and other management requests.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic first aid, CPR, and AED as certified.
- Monitor and maintain timekeeping systems, records, and coordinate administrative scheduling.
- Ensure the team is outfitted with the equipment they need to succeed.
Policy, Training & Investigations
- Develop and implement corporate security policies and procedures.
- Develop, implement, and train others on emergency response plans and procedures.
- Develop and deliver security training to employees.
- Develop and implement security metrics and reporting.
- Manage security incidents and investigations.
- Perform personnel related investigations regarding potential policy/conduct violations. Recommend corrective action and performance improvement plans, up to and including termination of employment.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Education and Experience
- College degree in security management, criminal justice, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate security supervision, management, law enforcement, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices, risk management, and emergency response procedures.
- Experience in overseeing and coordinating scheduling and staffing movement.
- Experience in managing and leading security personnel and contractors.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficient in tools such as Numbers, Microsoft Excel, Quip, Keynote, Pages, etc.

Working Environments / Physical Requirements
- Required to drive a company vehicle between sites, with frequent travel between client buildings and/or campuses.
- May be required to lift up to 25 pounds, sit or stand for extended periods of time, and travel occasionally.
- This is a physical job that requires the ability to work in different environments and terrains, both inside and outside, regardless of weather conditions.
- Required to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
- Flexibility and willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.
Reporting Structure
The Staff Supervisor (Security Lead) is a full-time hourly non-exempt position that reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager.
