Job Overview

TRIDENT is adding a Security Officer to our team to provide skilled protection and safety services across the Greater Madison area. We are looking for a motivated, dependable individual who takes genuine pride in delivering first-rate service. Success in this position requires strong situational awareness, a level-headed and professional approach, and the confidence to take quick, effective action when circumstances demand it.

Embodying these principles consistently — while fulfilling the responsibilities below — is the key to success in this role. These duties represent day-to-day expectations. TRIDENT Security Officers are the foundation of our services; they must be dependable and thorough. This role requires the ability to work independently, make sound judgment calls, and manage competing priorities with ease.

KEY DUTIES

  • Review and remain current on all post orders, shift pass-down notes, and any site-specific bulletins or updates.
  • Provide attentive frontline assistance to client staff, visitors, teammates, and members of the public seeking directions, information, or general help.
  • Route client or public inquiries and concerns to the designated TRIDENT contact or on-site point of contact in a timely manner.
  • Write complete and accurate incident and complaint reports, submitting them through the appropriate channels to TRIDENT and the Client.
  • Complete regular facility patrols (at minimum once per hour) to maintain a visible presence and reinforce a safe, secure environment.
  • Screen and authorize access for employees, vehicles, and visitors entering the secured site.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment and confirm that all on-site personnel are meeting PPE requirements.
  • Administer immediate first aid, CPR, and AED support in response to medical emergencies.
  • Check all access points inside and outside the facility to ensure every door and gate is secured and functioning correctly.
  • Perform detailed walkthroughs of the interior and exterior to flag damage, safety risks, maintenance issues, or any unusual conditions.
  • Escalate incidents involving suspicious individuals or activity through the proper chain of command.
  • Complete any additional duties assigned by TRIDENT as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Prior experience in a security capacity is preferred.

LICENSE & CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must possess and maintain a valid ASRB Guard Card.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Alabama Driver’s License.

PHYSICAL & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • May involve driving a company vehicle to travel between assigned locations.

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods during the shift.
  • Availability on weekends, holidays, and for overtime is expected based on operational needs.
