Job Summary

The Chief Financial Officer will serve as a strategic architect of the company's next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will provide executive leadership for all financial strategy, corporate finance, capital management, compliance, and performance optimization across a multi-state operating platform.

This is not a traditional accounting role. The CFO will build institutional-grade financial infrastructure, elevate operational finance and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) capabilities, enhance margin discipline, and position the organization for scalable growth, mergers and acquisitions activity, and long-term value creation.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable in the boardroom, the bank, and the field, translating frontline operational realities into strategic planning and enterprise outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Drive Strategy: Partner with the CEO to define long-range capital allocation and expansion goals.
  • Optimize Margins: Design labor cost tools to manage wages, utilization, and overtime analytics.
  • Build Infrastructure: Lead ERP enhancements and establish controls for a scaling organization.
  • Manage Risk: Ensure compliance with labor laws, government contracts, and insurance requirements.
  • Enable Growth: Lead banking relationships and manage M&A diligence and integration.
  • Improve Cash Flow: Reduce revenue leakage through optimized billing and AR discipline.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience in multi-site, labor-intensive service industries.
  • Proven ability to scale systems in high-growth environments.
  • Strong background in operational finance and cash flow management.

Preferred Skills

  • CPA or MBA designation.
  • Experience in security services or government contracting.
  • Prior leadership in private equity-backed or growth-stage companies.
  • Expertise in M&A transactions and post-acquisition integration.

Company Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan with company match.
  • Paid Vacation and Sick Leave.
  • Short-term, long-term, and accident insurance options.

Our Mission

TRIDENT provides superior Tier-1 level security support to customers on time and at the best price. We are a veteran-owned firm founded by former U.S. Navy SEALs. We deliver elite protective services to commercial, government, and high-risk environments.

Trident Values

  • Honesty and Integrity: Do everything with the highest ethical standards.
  • Excellence: Achieve superior results in every job.
  • Service: Provide exceptional support to customers and employees.
  • Goals: Secure the operational and technical objectives of our clients.
