Position Summary

TRIDENT is seeking an Afternoon Shift Security Officer to provide professional security and safety services at assigned locations in Cupertino, CA. This Sunday through Thursday afternoon role is a strong fit for a dependable, customer-focused professional who thrives while engaging with the public and sustaining a visible, approachable security presence during the busiest daytime and evening hours. Strong communication skills and a steady commitment to high-quality service are essential to thriving in this position.

Core Duties

• Team up with a group of Security Specialists to protect customers and employees in retail settings
• Walk through assigned areas to maintain a visible security presence and reduce the chance of incidents
• Identify, report, and respond to irregular or unsafe conditions as they emerge
• Document and investigate security events, accidents, and facility maintenance concerns
• Address assistance requests from supervisors and client staff in a prompt, professional manner
• Support client personnel during evacuations, emergencies, or other hazardous events
• Back up crowd management efforts and coordinate with public safety officials when necessary
• Verify employee identification before granting access to restricted areas on client property
• Manage parking compliance and resolve vehicle-related issues on site
• Greet and assist customers and employees with professionalism and a proactive attitude
• React to medical situations and provide First Aid, CPR, or AED care (if certified)
• Inspect building exteriors to confirm that all doors, gates, and windows are properly secured
• Attend daily shift briefings and share relevant updates with teammates
• Carry out mobile patrols between retail locations as directed
• Keep all company equipment in proper working condition at all times
• Produce accurate, thorough written reports as required
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by TRIDENT management

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Prior security experience is preferred

Licensing & Credentials

• Valid California Driver's License
• Valid BSIS Guard Card

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• May be required to drive a company vehicle between client sites
• Assignments will cover multiple retail locations
• Must be prepared to work indoors and outdoors regardless of weather conditions
• Role involves regular walking and standing, with extended time on your feet
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed

Role Classification

The Security Specialist is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt role reporting directly to the Field Supervisor.
