Job Summary:

You will design creative security plans and lead on-site assessments of third-party vendors/suppliers and marketing productions to safeguard the clients R&D technology efforts from concept through shipping product. This will include effectively communicating plans of action to partners at all levels of the company, as well as developing and implementing strategic policies and initiatives to protect against loss and unauthorized disclosure of confidential projects. As the face of Global Security to the clients immense network of third-party vendors, suppliers, and marketing production partners, you will travel the world to build relationships, promote sustainable security designs and behaviors, and influence risk-aware decision-making. A successful Designer is perceptive and focused, someone that often recognizes details, factors, and trends that others might miss; is imaginative, curious, and flexible; is unafraid to fight for excellence and obsesses over the customer experience; is able to cut through ambiguity and drive what really matters; and is, above all, an empathetic communicator who sees every interaction as an opportunity, works to understand and foster trust within others, and pitch in when needed. 

 

Essential Duties/Tasks:

  •  3-8 years of experience in a challenging environment where you were consistently relied upon to: work collaboratively across multiple lines of business and geographic locations, innovate to solve complex problems, and exercise good judgment to produce high-quality results. 
  •  Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. You are at ease both behind a keyboard as well as in front of audiences of all sizes and scopes, from individual contributors to C-level executives.
  •  Excellent time management skills. You instinctively prioritize duties and responsibilities to be more effective. 
  •  Proven ability to manage complex projects and processes across a highly-matrixed, cross-functional organization. 
  •  Comfort with ambiguity and capable of lending structure to nebulous environments. 
  • Ability to “read the room.” You know both how and when to adapt processes to accommodate different styles and situations. 
  • Driven by curiosity, often seeking to understand “how” or “why,” then use that information to find better ways to do things. 
  • Enthusiastic about cultivating and maintaining relationships with internal and external partners.

Minimum Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 
 

Required License/Certifications:

  • Possess and maintain a valid state issued driver’s license
  • Possess and maintain a valid state issued security license, when applicable based on assignment.

  • Assessment/audit experience in one or more of the following fields: physical security, information security, environmental health and safety, crisis management, risk management, supply chain or logistics. 
  •  Experience operating in globalized, multi-lingual business environments. 
  •  Experience designing and delivering professional training to large, diverse audiences. 
  •  PSP, CISSP, or equivalent professional certification a plus. 

 

Working Environments/Physical Requirements

  • Physically capable of moving fast and traveling distances of 2+ miles on foot
  • Work may occur outside in different environments and terrains around the client property, regardless of weather conditions
  • Physically capable to stand for a minimum of 8 hours and lift up to 70 lb.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed
  • Required to drive a company/client vehicle between sites

 

Reporting Structure & Classification:

  • The Security Designer is a salaried exempt position that reports to client leadership and management for day-to-day tasking, and to the Trident Special Projects Operations Manager for administrative support.

 

Compensation:

  • $115,000 – $120,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
