Role Summary

TRIDENT is hiring an Afternoon Security Officer to deliver professional security and safety coverage at assigned client locations in Cupertino, CA. This afternoon shift opportunity is well-matched for a motivated, service-focused individual who thrives in high-traffic retail environments during peak hours. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong situational awareness, polished interpersonal skills, and a consistently professional approach when engaging with both customers and staff.

Primary Duties

• Collaborate with a Security Specialist team to look out for the well-being of customers and employees in retail settings.
• Complete foot patrols of assigned zones to maintain a visible presence and reduce security risks.
• Spot, document, and respond to hazardous or suspicious conditions on-site.
• Record and investigate security events, accidents, and maintenance-related issues.
• Handle support requests from supervisors and client staff in a timely manner.
• Support employees and customers during emergencies, evacuations, or other critical events.
• Coordinate with public safety authorities as needed to back up crowd management efforts.
• Verify credentials for employees entering restricted or controlled zones on client premises.
• Enforce parking policies and address vehicle-related matters on site.
• Maintain respectful, professional conduct when engaging with all customers and staff.
• Provide First Aid, CPR, or AED care in medical emergencies (if certified).
• Inspect all exterior access points to confirm doors, gates, and windows are properly secured.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior experience in security or retail customer service is preferred.

License & Driving Credentials

• Must hold or obtain a valid California Guard Card (BSIS) within 30 days of hire.
• A valid California Driver's License is required.
