Position Summary
TRIDENT is hiring a Security Officer to deliver professional protection and safety coverage across the Greater Madison region. The right hire will be driven, consistent, and dedicated to providing outstanding customer service. The responsibilities listed reflect the day-to-day expectations of the position. Our Security Officers are essential to our operational success and must show strong attention to detail and trustworthiness. This role requires the ability to work with minimal oversight, apply critical thinking to resolve challenges, and balance multiple responsibilities at the same time.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Review and stay current on all post orders along with any pass-down notes or site communications relevant to your assigned location.
- Deliver strong customer service to staff, clients, coworkers, and the public — including answering questions, offering directions, and providing general support.
- Capture and direct customer questions or concerns to the right TRIDENT representative or designated site contact.
- Carefully document all incidents and complaints, making sure they’re escalated properly to TRIDENT and the Client.
- Carry out regular patrols of the site (every 60 minutes) to maintain visibility and reinforce a safe, secure setting.
- Manage and enforce access control for authorized personnel, vehicles, and guests on the property.
- Help maintain a hazard-free worksite and confirm that all on-site workers are following PPE requirements.
- Respond to medical emergencies by providing first aid, CPR, and AED care as needed.
- Check all interior and exterior doors and gates to ensure they are correctly secured and functional.
- Walk interior and exterior sections of the property to detect glass damage, maintenance concerns, hazards, or anything out of the ordinary.
- Follow the proper chain of command when reporting and escalating incidents involving suspicious persons or behavior.
- Complete any additional assignments directed by TRIDENT.
BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous security experience is a plus.
LICENSE & DRIVING CREDENTIALS
- Must already possess a valid ASRB Guard Card within 30 days of hire and keep it active throughout the full term of employment.
- Must have and maintain a valid Alabama Driver's License.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- May be called upon to operate a company vehicle between assigned work sites.
- Active role covering a variety of physical locations and environments, with frequent movement between client sites.
- Work is conducted both indoors and outdoors regardless of weather.
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended durations throughout the shift.
- Availability on weekends, holidays, and for overtime is required as operational demands dictate.
