Role Overview

TRIDENT is recruiting a Security Officer to provide dependable safety and security services at a secured commercial site in Cupertino, CA. This role is a great fit for candidates who do well in both evening and late-night settings as the facility transitions from high-activity to lower-traffic periods. Candidates must show consistent reliability, sharp observational capabilities, and steady professionalism across varying conditions.

Key Duties

• Work alongside a Security Specialist team to safeguard customers and employees in commercial settings.
• Complete foot patrols throughout assigned zones to maintain a visible security presence and deter incidents.
• Identify, evaluate, and respond to unusual or potentially unsafe situations on-site.
• Document and follow through on security events, accidents, and facility maintenance matters.
• Respond quickly to requests for assistance from supervisors, client personnel, or fellow security team members.
• Support staff during evacuations, emergency events, or other high-risk circumstances.
• Help with crowd control and coordinate with public safety agencies when situations require.
• Validate employee credentials when accessing restricted zones on client property.
• Manage parking regulations and resolve vehicle-related issues on the premises.
• Engage with customers and employees in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
• Provide First Aid, CPR, and AED support during medical emergencies (if certified).
• Ensure all exterior entry points — including doors, gates, and windows — are properly secured.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior experience in security or a related field is preferred.

Licenses & Credentials

• Must hold or acquire a valid California Guard Card (BSIS) within 30 days of hire.
• A valid California Driver's License is required.
