Security Officer

LOCATION: Reno, NV
WAGE: $20.50 - $21.50/hr
SHIFT:  Overnight shift. 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

POSITION SUMMARY

TRIDENT is a team of skilled Security Specialists dedicated to providing superior Tier-1 security services. As a Security Specialist, you are the face of TRIDENT and the first line of engagement with our clients.
You embody the TRIDENT brand as a visible presence, maintaining safety standards and providing professional, client-centered service with every interaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Read and remain current on all post orders, pass-down logs, and site-specific instructions.
• Deliver outstanding front-line customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public.
• Record and report concerns, issues, or inquiries from clients or the public to the appropriate TRIDENT contact or site POC.
• Ensure all documentation and reports are complete, accurate, and escalated through proper channels.
• Conduct scheduled perimeter and interior patrol rounds (every 60 minutes) to uphold security and order.
• Control access for authorized individuals, vehicles, and guests entering the site.
• Keep the work environment safe and hazard-free, verifying PPE compliance for all personnel on site.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic first aid, CPR, and AED support.
• Perform door and gate inspections to confirm all entry points are secure and functioning properly.
• Walk building interiors to identify damage, hazards, maintenance needs, or unusual activity.
• Report incidents involving suspicious behavior or individuals through the appropriate chain of command.
• Fulfill any additional duties as assigned by TRIDENT.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in a security role is preferred.

REQUIRED CREDENTIALS

• Must obtain or currently hold a valid Nevada Guard Card within 30 days of hire.
• Valid Nevada Driver's License required.

WORK CONDITIONS

• May involve operating a company vehicle between client locations.
• Physically active role spanning varied environments with movement between client sites.
• Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors across all weather conditions.
• Requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Must be available for weekends, holidays, and overtime as operational needs require.
