About This Role

TRIDENT is recruiting a Late Night Security Officer to provide professional security and safety services at a secured commercial facility in Cupertino, CA. This Tuesday through Saturday opening is built for a focused, self-directed professional who does well in a quieter setting during overnight hours. Consistent alertness, the ability to work with minimal oversight, and a detailed approach to monitoring and patrolling the facility after business hours are the foundational requirements of this role.

Role Responsibilities

• Partner with fellow Security Officers to uphold a safe environment for customers and employees in retail settings
• Perform foot patrols across assigned zones to sustain visibility and reduce the chance of incidents
• Spot, report, and respond to irregular or potentially unsafe conditions as they arise
• Document and investigate security events, accidents, and maintenance-related issues
• Handle requests for assistance from supervisors and client staff efficiently and professionally
• Support client staff through evacuations, emergency events, or other hazardous situations
• Help with crowd control and coordinate with public safety officials when circumstances require
• Validate employee identification for access to restricted areas on client property
• Monitor parking compliance and resolve vehicle-related concerns on the premises
• Engage with customers and employees in a professional and welcoming manner
• Provide First Aid, CPR, or AED support during medical emergencies (if certified)
• Sweep building exteriors to confirm all doors, gates, and windows remain secured
• Participate in daily shift briefings and share pertinent site information with the team
• Carry out mobile patrols across retail locations as directed
• Keep company equipment in good working order throughout the shift
• Produce thorough, accurate incident and activity reports as needed
• Perform other tasks as assigned by TRIDENT management

Background & Education

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Prior security experience is preferred

Licenses & Credentials

• Valid California Driver's License
• Valid BSIS Guard Card

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• May be asked to operate a company vehicle between client locations
• Work will take place across multiple retail sites
• Must be comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments in any weather
• Role involves frequent walking and standing for long durations
• Availability for weekends, holidays, and overtime is required as needed

Classification

The Security Officer is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt role reporting directly to the Field Supervisor.
